Beer of the Week: Garage Project

Very good beers from Garage Project. Released in Australia especially for Good Beer Week. Notes from the brewers:

Garage Project ‘Bug Powder Dust’ IPA
A juicy hop bomb in a hazy base. Brewed exclusively with a new form of super concentrated lupulin powder, the product of a cryogenic extraction process which separates aromatic resins and oils from hop plant matter. The green gold powder produced gives this beer a massive, mellow, juicy hop hit with none of the harsh kick of vegetative cone material. $13

Garage Project x Nøgne Ø ‘Summer Sommer’ Strong Golden Ale
The collaborative love child of iconic Norwegian craft brewery Nøgne Ø and Wellington’s own Garage Project, Summer Sommer is a strong golden ale, brewed with rye malts and Pohutakawa honey. Rich gold in colour, smooth with a touch of rye spice, honey and warming alcohol, it’s sunshine in a bottle. $17

Garage Project ‘Wildflower Series’ Wild Manuka Beer
Wild Beer brewed with 30% wheat and rye and spontaneously fermented using freshly foraged local Manuka Flowers. This beer was aged in oak puncheons (500-litre barrel) at our Wild Workshop for eight months. $7

Garage Project x Moustache Cookies & Cream Ale
Made in collaboration with Auckland’s iconic Moustache Milk & Cookie bar. Rich, juicy dark malt and biscuit character with a hint of chocolate and a touch of spice. $7
