Wine of the week: Mortellito releases
Hailing from the beautiful lands of Val de Noto in Sicily, Mortellito is a family-owned estate that sits on approximately 23 hectares with vineyards alongside almond and olive groves – all of which is organically farmed. Their goal is to ‘create wines that reflect the natural characteristics of the territory, wines with a distinct personality’, and it’s one that they absolutely nail with these delicious cuvées. These see no oak, and instead are fermented and matured entirely in stainless steel – bringing a transparent freshness to the wines.
