Beer of the Week: Belgian Beauties!

Ohhh Belgian beers. There’s good reason why so many people around the world are inspired by the brews that come out of the prolific breweries of the Kingdom of Belgium – so we thought it time that we take a fresh look at some of the classics!

Lindemans Kriek, $10
What happens when you take a delicious lambic beer and add whole sour cherries to it? Why, even more deliciousness! Slightly sweet, delightfully sour – a classic for good reason.

Saison Dupont ‘Biologique’, $16
One of the world’s first organically produced ales! Wildly thirst-quenching with pronounced bitterness, nice citrus flavours, and a hint of funk.

Saison Dupont, $16
One of the most iconic Belgian farmhouse ales. Bottled unfiltered, this is beautifully balanced and complex with a refreshing fruitiness and long, dry, finish.

St Bernardus Tripel, $9
A great example of a traditional Abbey beer – pale amber with a flowery, fruity taste and great balance between its delicate bitterness, malt sweetness, and acidity.
