Franck Balthazar is a one man show and has been named a purist and traditionalist when it comes to his vinification of Syrah.
He took over the 2 hectares of family estate from his father in 2002 that were comprised of 50% 100 year and 50% 40-year-old vines. He has since expanded his holdings to 3.5 hectares. His wines offer elegant and expressive examples with an unmistakable sense of place.
