We always look forward to Gentle Folk's single-vineyard wines, and the more recently acquired Monomeith site is a welcome addition indeed!

Monomeith has always been a special site thanks to its cooler Ashton Hills location, unique exposition and (just like the Farr Farrside!) east-west vineyard orientation. It's an incredible wine in 2021—the delicate touch in winemaking complements the tense fruit and uplifting aromatics.

It's a vineyard we have lovingly drunk before (when it was in the hands of Anton von Klopper of Lucy M) and again we embrace the unique signatures under Gareth and Rainbo Belton.

Who is Gentle Folk?

Situated amongst the undulating slopes of the Adelaide Hills, Gareth and Rainbo Belton farm six organically managed vineyards with an emphasis on minimal intervention and regional expression.

With a background in phycology (the study of seaweed and algae), both Gareth and Rainbo developed a keen interest in wine and applied their knowledge of microbiology to quickly became influential figures in the Adelaide Hills wine scene.
