The weather is warming up, spring is in the air, and Brooklyn Brewery have graced us with the perfect limited release to celebrate: Palenque!
Pronounced pah-leng-ke (like the Mayan ruins in Mexico!), aged in Mezcal barrels, Brooklyn's barrel-aged Palenque Key Lime gose is softly tart and subtly salty with a delightfully tropical feel. Take a sip, close your eyes, and be transported to a sunny beach, with waves of coconut, pineapple, and that lovely key lime.
To celebrate the limited release of Brooklyn Brewery’s Palenque, it’s our great pleasure to host a live chat between Garrett Oliver and our beer buyer, Cherry Murphy, on Saturday 2nd October at 1pm AEST.
Garrett Oliver is a New York-based brewer & beer author and has worked as the brewmaster at Brooklyn Brewery since 1994 - his contribution to the brewing industry over the years is near impossible to quantify, and we can’t wait to pick his brain.
If you needed even more incentive to join in on the livestream on the day, we'll be giving away a bottle of Brooklyn Brewery's Hand & Seal Barrel-aged Barleywine to three lucky viewers. So, make sure you order that bottle of Palenque - or even one of our Brooklyn tasting packs, if you're feeling fancy. Register here to go into the running.
From there, all you need to do is tune in on Saturday 2nd October at 1pm to taste along in real time with Garrett and Cherry!
[Don’t fear if you can’t make the date itself, the video will be available to view on youtube afterwards at your leisure]
