Another superlative Pinot Noir from Curly Flat, coming from vineyards planted in 2000 with excellent exposure.

The 2019 vintage is showcasing a lovely velvety and rich palate, though still retaining cool-climate freshness. Dark cherry, plum, forest floor, and cedarwood spice with firm, elegant tannins that wash across the palate beautifully. It's a pleasure to drink now, though will cellar wonderfully over the next five to ten years.

Who is Curly Flat?

Established in 1991 by Phillip Moraghan and Jenifer Kolkka, Curly Flat is one of the most prolific wineries in the Macedon Ranges region. The cool, altitude-driven terroir is very much suited to Burgundian varieties, which are painstakingly tended to in the vineyard with the utmost precision and care.

Now under the sole ownership of Jenifer, the estate welcomed Matt Harrop on board as head winemaker in 2017, who brings a wealth of experience with him from his previous role at Shadowfax Wines.

Having gracefully commenced this exciting new chapter, Curly Flat is no doubt a winery that is at its peak, producing some of the most mesmerising examples of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in the country.
