First established in 1858 by Henning Rathjen, Henning’s great grandson, Darryl Rathjen, replanted the vineyard on the original site in 1998. The first vintage of Hennings Shiraz was produced in 2000 and they continue to produce small-batch Heathcote Shiraz, Viognier and Verdelho.

Traditional winemaking meets minimal intervention to maintain and champion the integrity of the exceptional quality of the fruit. 150 years after it was first built, Henning’s cellar has been restored and reopened for tasings and cellar door sales.
