The winemaking region of Bugey is tucked away in-between Beaujolais and Savoie, and is particularly well-known for its sparkling wine production. This Méthode Ancestrale (aka Pét-Nat) is made from a blend of Gamay and Poulsard, which has a smidge of residual sugar that renders it off-dry. Rose petal, strawberry candy, and fresh garden herbs with some zesty acidity bringing in a beautiful balance.
