When Pete Schell heard there was a block of old vine Grenache that was "too old and too low yielding" for sale, he didn't hesitate to make the call and we're so glad he did.
The fruit for this wine comes from vines averaging 60 years and was hand-harvested before being wild-fermented with 40% whole bunches and the remaining amount as uncrushed, destemmed berries. The resulting wine is strong, rich in character and bursting with flavour—expect silky fruits met with vibrant acidity and tight-grained tannins.
