Inspired by the traditional steam ales originating in the mid to late 1800s, the style is fermented with lager yeast at higher temperatures for a nuanced, hearty hybrid of both ale and lager.

Mountain Goat's Steam Ale is a little different, opting to brew at a cooler temperature, the resulting brew is refreshing, crisp and very sessionable.
