A fantastic entry into the wines of Daniel Bouland made from his younger vines averaging only 60 years of age. Chewy, tense red fruits and tight, peppery tannins are deftly balanced on the palate by red and black cherry, alongside leafy and floral notes that add to the elegance of this wine.

Who is Daniel Bouland?
In many ways, Daniel Bouland is the antithesis of Beaujolais' reputation circa the 1970s and 80s. Known as one of the region's more reclusive producers, Bouland tends to his rustic, predominately old vine vineyards all by himself, with holdings across the Morgon lieux-dits of Corcelette, Bellevue, and Delys.
His wines are bold, complex, and incredibly layered, offering a wonderful reference point for how versatile and brooding Gamay can be.
