Daniel Bouland's wines are bold, structured, and incredibly layered, offering a wonderful reference point for how versatile and brooding Gamay can be.
Hailing from Bouland's most recently acquired parcel in the lieu-dit, Pré Jourdan, sitting on the Morgon-Fleurie border. Just a tiny amount of wine is made from these 70-year-old vines, enough to fill a single cask. Fleshy and aromatic, with layers of lush red fruits, silky tannin and a long, sweeping finish.

Who is Daniel Bouland?
In many ways, Daniel Bouland is the antithesis of Beaujolais' reputation circa the 1970s and 80s. Known as one of the region's more reclusive producers, Bouland tends to his rustic, predominately old vine vineyards all by himself, with holdings across the Morgon lieux-dits of Corcelette, Bellevue, and Delys.
His wines are bold, complex, and incredibly layered, offering a wonderful reference point for how versatile and brooding Gamay can be.
