Drinking deliciously in its youth, this has wonderful intensity and is the most Claret in style of Josh's three Cabernets. Dark berried fruits, with mountainside freshness and fine tannins alongside hallmark violet, cassis and umami seaweed of the cooler site. Late ripening and the last of the three Cabernet Sauvignon sites, the fruit was harvested by hand and carefully sorted, partially foot crushed and open fermented for three weeks, before elevage in a mix of new Stockinger and seasoned Bordeaux barriques for 12 months.

Utterly satisfying now, but this will reward those who cellar it with layers of additional complexity.
