Gab and Chris from Sailor's Grave Brewing in Orbost have been working for six months with the author of Dark Emu, Bruce Pascoe, to create this Dark Lager.
The Dark Emu is brewed with mamadyang ngalluk and burru ngalluk, both indigenous grass seeds native to the East Gippsland region which were harvested on Bruce's property in nearby Mallacoota before being roasted and added to a base of dark-roasted barley malt. Dry and complex, with an earthy, roasted savouriness.
