With a little decant Intrinsic settles and comes through bright with boysenberry, pomegranate and some cherry-depth. Owen Latta and his crew have done amazingly well, and made the most of trying weather conditions. This is one to cellar, or enjoy now and it’s punching well above its price point.

Bags like these produce 80% less carbon emission than glass so we’re big fans and will keep stocking these jiggly magnums. (1500ml)

Pull it out of your tote and pour it while on a park bench with one friend – the bottle’s too small for several people. Full of white and yellow peach and just a little oaky richness that hits the spot without overpowering the other flavours.

Half Time starts with a good squeeze of juiciness, before some earthy Italian herbs and fresh spices come flowing in with that bitter amaro and the savoury finish we can’t get enough of. Delicious with some Middle Eastern comfort food, but also chips and afternoon footy.

Half Time Red 2023

Bright, lifted blue fruits, spicy lined tannin and some chewy acidity – they might be some of the words you want to hear if you need a red for a BBQ. The fact that it's all savoury and chalky also means it’ll pair well with slow-roast lamb, blue cheese, and dark chocolate, so yes take it with you to that BBQ.

Higher Plane Time for Heroes Malbec 2023

The majority of the fruit underwent malolactic fermentation with some stirring to build texture and the result is delicious wine with a creamy feel and plenty of lime, a pinch of oak spice and a tight tensile line of acidity.

Rob Hall Chardonnay 2024

We’re in on that alone, but there’s also a sturdy backbone of compact stone fruit and a nice citrussy-sherbety pull of acidity to keep you energised over the warmer months. We recommend pouring this into a fishbowl-sized wine glass, giving it a little swirl and savouring everything it has to offer. Superb modern Chardonnay that also deserves some space in the cellar.

Nocturne Treeton Sub Region Chardonnay 2022

Fluffy and softly red fruited with foamy, but still crunchy, red apples and just a little berry goodness, there’s some nice complexity here. It’s kept on lees to this day, so get ready for a lick of herby perfection. Shines at a house party and is radiant in the park.

The ripeness of Hilltops' fruit is doing nothing but favours to this Tempranillo. Gloriously medium-to-full bodied in the glass with layers of sarsaparilla and cola nut meeting lovely herbaceous edges and a wash of leathery tannins.

Linear Tempranillo 2022

Full of poise and delicate balance, and flavoursome white nectarine, citrus and pink grapefruit notes layered with a fine acidity and a long finish. Brilliant and very special, just like the Derwent pencil set I was never allowed to draw with as a child.

Marco Lubiana Huon & Derwent Chardonnay 2023

More richness with some oak creeping into settle all the peach and nectarine, and give a little more structure. It’s value laden and drinks like a hug from your favourite nanna at her front door.

This carefully handcrafted wine boasts purity in spades and is overflowing with character and charm. Fruit for this wine came from a unique vineyard overlooking the Goulburn River, sitting on rich alluvial soils in an area that’s home to many retired volcanoes—Dane has told us more than once that the quality of fruit from this spot is incredible! The Syrah is a blend of two separate ferments, which both underwent semi-carbonic maceration with 10 days on skins. In the glass, expect bright and lifted fruit flavours, with intermingling notes of bramble berries, boysenberry, and raspberry coulis. There’s a fresh acidity and energy to the wine that make it perfect for summertime drinking. It’s fantastic as is, but if we were you, we’d chuck this one on ice before drinking.

In the glass, expect some autumnal leaves and velvety fine tannins spreading nicely across the palate, with a lick of meaty oak lending some chew and a savoury, structural edge to the wine.
