This skin-contact Pinot Grigio sits on the savoury side of the style. Light tobacco smoke and woodsy notes flow into fennel and cinnamon spice. You can spy the skin contact in the deep orange hue and you can feel it on the palate by way of a firm phenolic grip.

Savoury, crisp and fresh with plenty of lemon citrus and white pithy fruit—in other words, your new go-to for backyard wine on a spring afternoon. Coming from Robert Surmann's Totness vineyard, Pinot Blanc was pressed as whole bunches, fermented in 2000L foudre and aged on lees.

This wine brings together Frappato and Nero d'Avola in lovely harmony, grown on limestone soils in Val Di Noto. Wild strawberry, some tart red currant and some cranberry are met with a leafy edge that only adds to the charm of this wine and some chalky, crisp tannin. This is loaded with fresh summer vibes but it's not for chilling this year, savour its beauty at cellar temperature.

Cataratto Lucido, from the estate's oldest vines, spent 10 days macerating on skins; the result is a wine laden with rich apricot, sandalwood and orange citrus, with freshening saline acidity and a gentle clench of skinsy tannin that adds to the savoury nature of the wine.

El'More Rosé 2022

Quartz and saline on the nose lead to a wonderfully textural palate, with some lemon rind and hints of green herb, while remaining saline and mineral. Half the wine was direct pressed to tank, with the other half destemmed and whole bunches into neutral oak. An excellent NZ bottle that would appeal to devotees of the Loire Valley's natural wine offerings.

A Thousand Gods Sauvignon Blanc 2020

If you're a fan of wines with a LoFi edge, then these guys will already be on your radar. This wine was pressed straight to old oak, with a rounded texture coming from time spent on lees. There's loads of juicy lemon and a bright, crunchy acidity.

Fin Wines Not Too Bad Vermentino 2022

Made for us by the wonderful Erinn Klein of Ngeringa, this years iteration sees a mix of Pinot rosé (50%), Shiraz rosé (39%), Pink Semillon (7%), and and Viognier (4%) from a selection of excellent vineyards around the Adelaide Hills. Carefully farmed, beautifully made, and an absolute bargain; this is fizzy, fun, and an absolute delight to drink!

Triple Trouble Bubble Rosé Pét Nat 2022

This year's Parco Pinot Noir uses 100% Mornington fruit from Rivendell Vineyard. And the premise of this vintage remains the same—to create wines that are fresh, delicious, and ready to be enjoyed right now! This release is honest and uncomplicated, whole berries were fermented and pressed as soon as they are 'dry', with various ferments blended by Bill on a chilly winter's day at his Gippsland winery. Wild cherries, red currants, and some gentle ribbons of tannin are woven through a crunchy acid line. There's a touch of forestal savouriness—as we'd expect from Pinot—but this is mostly about vivid lively fruit and pure drinking enjoyment. We love a tumbler of this wine while lighting the BBQ and we think you will too—though of course, if fancy glassware's more your style, this drop will be just as home there too.
