A dark-fruited beauty hailing from SA, with notes of black cherry, marzipan, tar and black pepper all at play on the soft, plush palate. An enviable lineup of Italian varieties, which have made themselves very at home in the Riverland, make up this yummy Rosso, with Nero d'Avola, and co-fermented Montepulciano and Aglianico, plus a lil Grenache for good measure. Bellissimo!

This carefully handcrafted wine boasts purity in spades and is overflowing with character and charm. Fruit for this wine came from a unique vineyard overlooking the Goulburn River, sitting on rich alluvial soils in an area that’s home to many retired volcanoes—Dane has told us more than once that the quality of fruit from this spot is incredible! The Syrah is a blend of two separate ferments, which both underwent semi-carbonic maceration with 10 days on skins. In the glass, expect bright and lifted fruit flavours, with intermingling notes of bramble berries, boysenberry, and raspberry coulis. There’s a fresh acidity and energy to the wine that make it perfect for summertime drinking. It’s fantastic as is, but if we were you, we’d chuck this one on ice before drinking.

That thought that we’re all destined to repeat our choices because the options, given our considerations and circumstances, are actually the same so therefore, there is only ever one choice… the one you already made. (At least that’s my understanding of the theory.) It can be a real headache, but this is a choice we’d been happy to make over and again, and we sort of do because we enjoy drinking every vintage of Linear Gamay with its bright core of sweet raspberry and a dab of cola spice on repeat.
