Violets and some tumbling true-to-Cab Franc greenery that’s kept red, in flavour, with wild plums – skins and all! Has all the Lofi jubey feels and can use a little chill to cool down that slow roast lamb you woke up at 7am to prep and put on.

Carto Wines Cabernet Franc 2022

A dark-fruited beauty hailing from SA, with notes of black cherry, marzipan, tar and black pepper all at play on the soft, plush palate. An enviable lineup of Italian varieties, which have made themselves very at home in the Riverland, make up this yummy Rosso, with Nero d'Avola, and co-fermented Montepulciano and Aglianico, plus a lil Grenache for good measure. Bellissimo!
