Who is Murdoch Hill?
Four generations have farmed Murdoch Hill in the Adelaide Hills since 1939. The vineyard was established in 1998 and head winemaker Michael aims to express their unique site in their wines. Having studied oenology, he travel the great wine regions fo the world and did vintages in Barolo, Italy, Great Western, Victoria, and Adelaide Hills.
His philosophy is to honour the fruits’ origins while expressing his creativity. Michael takes a minimalist approach using wild yeasts, gentle extraction techniques, and reducing additions for highly gluggable wines.
