Spend just a little time with Nick Mills and you’ll be quoting him for years. We were blessed to have the visionary winemaker in our Smith St store for a tasting and this Gamay was a real highlight.
This is beautiful to drink and pours with the right energy, wrapped in tart cherry, pomegranate and helpings of sage and freshening bay leaf. There’s also a tight earthiness that fits right in when you consider the beauty that surrounds his Lake Wanaka vines.
