Who is Ben Haines?

Ben focuses on connection to place and how that can best be interpreted in his winemaking. He uses established wisdom to make the most of the present so his (and your) future can be full of expressive, balanced wines with longevity.

Ben started his winemaking journey in vineyards and they continue to inspire his winemaking as he tries to preserve and honour the vineyard provenance of his fruit.

Taking a sensitive and confident touch, he continuously searches for the best natural quality grapes from cool places to articulate his impression of the fruit’s character. Ben’s wines drink beautifully young and only improve with long-term cellaring.
