Schlenkerla is a traditional Bavarian brewer of rauchbier (literally translating to 'smokebeer'), a style of beer brewed with malted barley that has been dried over an open flame, imparting a smokiness not too dissimilar from Islay whisky. Schlenkerla's Urbock is a rich and heavy dark lager brewed with 100% smoked malt and matured for months in ancient underground rock cellars. Pouring a deep black colour, the smoke profile is a dominant component of this beer and is catered for those who want to dive in head-first with this peculiar beer style. (500ml) 6.5% ABV
