10x is generous with fleshy, red cherry aromatics and raspberry, but it carries all that primary flavour with substance – spices, orange oil and some silky tannin. It might feel a little fancy, but it also has all the comfort of RMs that are scuffed and onto their second sole.

More red cherry comes through on the lively palate alongside Mornington's hallmark palate of red berries, black cherry and brambly fruits of the forest, plus a crack of peppery spice. An easy fit for any occasion, from the couch to the park and paired with pizza, or a great sidestep for Gamay drinkers.

Dried strawberry, red currants and forest floor notes are met with a flash of whole bunch that lends an edge of savouriness to the glass alongside some char and sweetening lift thanks to some deftly played oak.

You can drink Mornington Pinot all-year-round, but for whatever reason it feels even more special in Winter. They have a hint of fleshiness that is almost ephemeral. Take this Allies for instance, it's light but firm, and bright but with tense fruit. There's some nice pomegranate and raspberry. One to contemplate over, and maybe even decant.

A soft and frisky number made with an even split of Shiraz and Merlot that underwent carbonic fermentation to really dial up the fruitiness and take the edge off the tannins. The result brimming with cherry blossom. red currant, and cherry pips. You already know this will love a light chill.

Delicious Mornington Pinot and pitch-perfect autumn drinking. A fleshier rendition than the previous vintage with macerated forestal berries sitting pretty alongside some savoury notes of charcuterie, leaf litter and earthy spice.

Garagiste Le Stagiaire Pinot Noir 2022

This year's Parco Pinot Noir uses 100% Mornington fruit from Rivendell Vineyard. And the premise of this vintage remains the same—to create wines that are fresh, delicious, and ready to be enjoyed right now! This release is honest and uncomplicated, whole berries were fermented and pressed as soon as they are 'dry', with various ferments blended by Bill on a chilly winter's day at his Gippsland winery. Wild cherries, red currants, and some gentle ribbons of tannin are woven through a crunchy acid line. There's a touch of forestal savouriness—as we'd expect from Pinot—but this is mostly about vivid lively fruit and pure drinking enjoyment. We love a tumbler of this wine while lighting the BBQ and we think you will too—though of course, if fancy glassware's more your style, this drop will be just as home there too.

A rich, earthy Pinot Noir boasting dark cherry and plum notes, while a portion of whole bunch fruit gives lift and a savoury edge. A powerful wine, with silky tannins and fresh acid drive. A lovely local example that should be enjoyed with a fellow Pinot-lover.

Prancing Horse Estate Latitude 38 South Pinot Noir 2021

From the Balnarring vineyard, sitting in the foothills east of Merricks, is this richly textured and complex Pinot Noir. A lovely melange of fruit, berries and a saline note are met on the palate with rich dusty tannins, some fresh acidity and some savoury herbal notes. Whole bunches were pressed early, with half going into the mix.

Winemaker David Chapman has always been about celebrating some of the key wine growing regions in the Mornington Peninsula. A one-man show that's equally as involved with the viticulture as he is in the winemaking. Hailing from the Merricks vineyard, planted in 1983, this Pinot Noir is more subdued in style, with a savoury feel to the wine. Cranberry, sour cherry and some tight grain tannins, with a tense acid line pronouncing its structure. This builds beautifully with some sweet oak rounding things out.
