A richly-fruited McLaren Vale Shiraz showing off everything there is to love about this pocket of South Australia. Dark berries and plums play alongside some graphite-like minerality, and prominent tannins thanks to a good dollop of French oak. This drinks like a warm embrace on a cool night, while Smooth Operator plays softly in the background.

The Winner's Tank Shiraz 2021

Taken from Best's own clones from the historic Concongella Vineyard, with vines averaging 40-years old. It sees 18 months in oak, with scrupulous barrel selection producing a wine of intense character and complexity. Rich dark plum and sweet blackberry laden with Szechuan peppercorn and clove spice. Oak influence is pronounced but seamlessly integrated, with some plush tannins building through to a long and complex finish. Drink now or cellar for 5-10 years.

Luxurious blackberry and a little new oak, plus ripe plum and olive tapenade with just a hint of saline. Of course, there’s sweet tobacco and it’s all reinforced with some trademark SA tannin. Delicious.

They've taken Brazilian Capadocia green coffee beans and aged them in freshly emptied whisky barrels from Lark Distillery, before being lightly roasted by Supreme Coffee. The result? Now this is a classic Margaret River Cab Sauv! Full and rich with blackcurrant and briar notes intermingling in the glass before a pinch of bay leaf and mocha oak enter the chat.
