18 months in new oak gives some glossy depth and a good weight. Really coats the palate and soul. Pair it with Brie and watch all the nectarine, peach fuzz and flint shine. Just because it’s bigger and richer doesn't mean there’s not as much finesse.

Unashamedly rich thanks to some time in new and old oak, and 11 months on lees. Think cashew meal and sublime stone fruits in an almost syrupy texture that will glide down and fill your soul with sunny flavours.

Sven Joschke La Justine Chardonnay 2024

From a fourth generation family in the Hills who really get the best out of this single vineyard fruit by fermenting with a portion of whole bunch. That means a sappy edge to all the light berries that are rinsed clean with some fressssh acidity.

Parco Gamay 2024

Gorgeous with punnets of raspberry and plenty of plucked strawberries on show, but with plenty of tangy tannins that are leafy, herby, and wrapped up so nicely. If all that’s not enough, consider some lasting depth too.

Scintilla Mountain Pinot Noir 2023

Well-balanced sweetness. Dark berries and plums that sparkle, or bubble even. Notes are worth journaling because they’re mulberry and a stingy piece of dark chocolate – apparently, I break off too much and need to be ‘monitored’ at family functions when the block comes out. Don’t worry, it’s on my list of things to work through with my therapist.

Philosophers say that even in dreams, we create problems because we want something to overcome. I have this recurring dream where, despite pouring from a full 750ml bottle, I can’t fill up my glass with the 150mls I want which means I only ever get to enjoy just a sip of all the black currant cassis and tobacco a wine like this offers.

Gudilly Cabernet Sauvignon 2022

Pours pale but full of spice and lovely pears, and absolutely appropriate with so many white sauce pastas. Comparable with a north of Venice white blend, thanks to that fresh attitude and the inclusion of a little Bianco and Nero adding savoury elements, while ultimately feeling Grigio in ‘profilo’.

Black cherry, cola nuts and a smidge of raspberry coulis. Here’s everything you want in a Tempranillo, but there’s nothing rudimentary happening. Body sits a smidge lighter than some Tempranillos so this could be a great bridging wine for those Pinot drinks looking for something bolder.

Absolutely a wine for every white wine lover, from the most dedicated Chardonnay devotees, to those who are still on the fence about the grape. Fermented in new oak and MLF, has some lovely spicy chew. Feels made to pair with cheese boards and friends at twilight.

Get the decanter out, and please swirl, a little air will really open up all the deep Lenswood oomph. Sips are full of dark berries, autumnal bliss, earthy spice and clean acidity.
