A lengthy BdB is like a dream, especially when it’s grown on vines that are up to 50-years-old and sit on a premier cru site. This one comes with a certain precision so there are a lot of flavours that unfurl. The blend is based around 2017, but also has half coming from a solera of vintage wine in the mix to nail the style; they have good style!

A tight yolk of red and black currants that are everpresent and crunchy, but supple. All that flattens though, after just a second on the tongue when a nice drying, dusty tannin and textural acidity take over. Decant if you’re into perfection–it’s not for everyone.
