A delicious blend of Fiano that saw four days on skins and whole bunch-pressed Pecorino has resulted in what can only be described as golden hour in a bottle. In the glass, expect floral jasmine and acacia alongside golden orchard fruits, touches of ripe pear and a luscious texture. A perfect match with prosciutto-wrapped melon, spicy Southeast Asian dishes or just a friend at sunset.

Well here that is, flowing with nothing more than delicate spices and savouriness that are outshined but that little ball of tannin and white pepper that we love in this Grenache. Grown on bush vines, and raised in seasoned oak for 8 months, great winemaking and farming allows this wine to just feel… right.

The gateway Jasper Hill. Beware, the path to the bigger-sibling ‘Paddocks’ is paved with $100+ wines. These grapes are mostly from Colbinabbin, but blended with another Heathcote site. It’s delicate and full of smooth tannins and vibrant red plums, so everyone at the dinner table will feel the charm. Crimson! It pours crimson!

All melody, no naïvety. This is the latest in our series on place and focuses on a darling region, Heathcote. This has everything we love because home is where we want to be, so there’s mulberry, peonies, compote spice and liqueured forest berries delivered glass after glass. There’s no need to speak in tongues, this is approachable and for everyone at the table.

This Must Be The Place Heathcote Shiraz 2023

Fluffy and softly red fruited with foamy, but still crunchy, red apples and just a little berry goodness, there’s some nice complexity here. It’s kept on lees to this day, so get ready for a lick of herby perfection. Shines at a house party and is radiant in the park.

Heathcote Grenache from Willoughby Bridge that was pressed immediately to produce a translucent, transfixing, white wine. Tastes ripe and full of pear but is savoury and will go well with your favourite picnic foods and a little sunscreen well into Autumn.

Bindi's Pyrette Shiraz is a satellite venture in the winery's lineup, made using fruit coming from a vineyard near Colbinabbin on the Mt Camel Range in Heathcote. It's a pure, expressive Heathcote Shiraz, unadorned by excessive oak and picked earlier for freshness.

This is some dinki-di Heathcote Shiraz right here. Ripe blackberry and plum, with some white pepper spice and fine-grained tannins. Phenomenal value!

Strata Shiraz 2020

This carefully handcrafted wine boasts purity in spades and is overflowing with character and charm. Fruit for this wine came from a unique vineyard overlooking the Goulburn River, sitting on rich alluvial soils in an area that’s home to many retired volcanoes—Dane has told us more than once that the quality of fruit from this spot is incredible! The Syrah is a blend of two separate ferments, which both underwent semi-carbonic maceration with 10 days on skins. In the glass, expect bright and lifted fruit flavours, with intermingling notes of bramble berries, boysenberry, and raspberry coulis. There’s a fresh acidity and energy to the wine that make it perfect for summertime drinking. It’s fantastic as is, but if we were you, we’d chuck this one on ice before drinking.

This could be the perfect match for your Middle Eastern feast of falafels, hummus, baba ghanoush and chickpeas. With its early-picked fruit and skin contact, there's a fresh acidity and a savoury lemon-laced chalky pith and grip, plus a lick of cinnamon quill and sandalwood spices.
