Upper Yarra restraint and depth here, but it’s still juicy like red cherries, plums and cola nut. Preheat your oven, and dust that chook in peri-peri and garlic. The wine also seems coated in earthy tannins and will win hearts at all potlucks.

Delicate wild cherries. This is lovely – open and supple. It’s a little ‘Victorian’ (light) for Sangiovese but that’s the genius of it because all those moreish fruits come through with some cleansing acidity and freshness.

Thought-provoking and pleasure-giving. This is a cool wine that’s not afraid to look over the edge – see the tangy blood-orange essence notes as an example. Of course, there’s also wild strawberry and plum skins. We're calling it, this is a hit.

Raspberries, cranberries and a little cooling autumnal leaf. This is a smidge lighter this year in weight and fruitfulness, but still has that dreamy flow of course, complete with rose petal notes for the romantic in us all.
