Bright and crunchy with cherry pips, cranberry and drops of boysenberry that shine through along with some trademark Sangiovese dusty tannin, and crispy acidity

The prettiest Cuvee in Phillipe’s array. Roses and berries are brushed with sandstone pumice tannins. There’s also a fine woven acidity and more strawberries that are layered with green herbs. Truly delicious.

Phillipe Viet Regnie Haut Ronze Mozaique Gamay 2023

Plump, juicy and round with good bright and fresh acidity washing through to amplify the purity. Gets 8-12 months in concrete to keep things expressive and savoury and punching well above its price for Beaujolais village.

A tumble of fresh cut apples and pears with some lovely chamomile lift to the aromatics. Floral, fresh and pure fruited to have you eating up bowls of broccoli pasta with even more joy.

Who’d have thought… Sangiovese plus Merlot and Sagrantino can equal a Gamay-like wine. When it’s light and delicate thanks to a favourable growing season and the vines being at altitude. Unique and lovely.

Beulah Violetta Stesso Stesso Rosso 2023

A melange of 12 clones from 7 parcels within the same vineyard making for a complex Pinot with opaque aromatics. Flavours are rose and earthy with a little pepperberry and saline. Brilliant tonight, but will also age well if you’re patient.

Siren Wine High Priestess Pinot Noir 2022

Light and delicate. There’s a lot of subtlety and nuance here and everything runs pure thanks to most fruits being destemmed and only a week on skins. It’s chilled red with an undertone of earthiness that’s alive with strawberry and pomegranate.

We all know how much everyone loves Chablis, that tensile, crisp saline number from the North of Burgundy. So how about taking a walk on the wild side with Ashleigh Barrowman, an exciting young producer from NZ, making wines inspired by the Loire and Jura and this Chenin is electric with energy and pulsing with citrus and saline-laced minerals.

Texture and a clean, talcy feel that’s flowy with white nectarine, lime and passionfruit flowers. There’s some versatility here meaning it’ll handle spicy food very well and elevate packet dumplings into fine cuisine.

Galafrey Dry Grown Reserve Riesling 2023

Grown on limestone and clay before 3 months on lees for a pillowy expression that’s full of florals and kept fresh with some nectarine notes and a little spice. Any excuse to drink Soave is a good one. Enjoy with one and a half bowls of pasta broccoli.

Mainente Pigno Soave Classico 2023

Colour and fruit in abundance for plenty of depth and a lot of super bright squishy berries that are kept savoury with just a pinch of aniseed-like spice. Serve it cool, not cold for the best of times.

David Morgan Quiet Wine Morgan Syrah 2023

A Sauvy B and Chardy blend that sees a short fermentation period and comes through with plenty of texture. The wine to bring when you don’t know the menu, or the vibe because it’s a little cuisine chameleon and great time unto itself.

We won’t shut up about David Morgan’s wines – despite the name. The guy’s got a lot of talent and we love his aesthetic and little quips. Of course, his wines are on point too, this Sauvy B. is linear and swaddled in herbs. Give it a good swirl for full enjoyment.

Torn sage, ripe mulberry and berries, here’s a full-blooded Shiraz, vibrant and plush with a friendly (juicy) side. Ticks all the Shiraz boxes without ever scaring anyone off – in other words, balanced.

Curator Wine Co Hamlets Shiraz 2023

Merlot with some Cab. Franc, a little Cab. Sauv. and Petit Verdot added for good measure. Very easy drinking Bordeaux blend that’s 10% cheaper by the case. Shows green tobacco, cranberries and raspy tannins.

Love it. Plump and juicy with salted plum before being tempered with a dusting of dried herbs thanks to the Cab Franc. We're calling it Autumn in a glass so play your favourite rendition of Autumn Leaves – Nat King Cole maybe?

Timothée Delalle La Burette Rouge 2022

A clean and plush expression with sweet whole berries and a flitting carbonic note. Very juicy and very pure, but it’s more than that thanks to a little mineral element and splash of dusty tannin.
